XM deals?
I have to renew my XM subscription, and rates are MUCH higher than when I did it last time (3 years ago). Has anyone been able to "deal" with XM on price? I really don't want to spend $20 a month on frickin radio.

Re: XM deals?
I renewed last week for $38 for 3 months. That was the only one they quoted me.

Re: XM deals?
That does seem high. I've never tried dealing with them, and I doubt they would. I often try to get the better rate by going for multiple years, but likely won't do that anymore until the FCC weighs in and the merger is sorted out. XM increases borrowing as losses widen - May. 12, 2008 -

Re: XM deals?
Quarterly is 12.95/month, 1yr is 11.87/month, 2yr is 11.33/month, 3yr is 9.99/month.
What are you paying now?

Re: XM deals?
Yeah, I just subscribed for a year this winter and if you paid in full for a year it was about $12 a month.

Re: XM deals?
XM gave me a deal back in March where I paid $77 for 6 months and then got 6 Months free. You might want to ask if that is still available.

Re: XM deals?
$20/month? You must have multiple radios.

Re: XM deals?
We do.
And I put Miley Cirus on Brian's favorite list. So now whenever that song comes on, (like every 20 min.), the radio beeps at him.
He got me back though, now mine beeps everytime some sucky Hall & Oats song comes on.

You know you love listening to Hall and Oats!

Re: XM deals?
Here is what I used from an older post.
Just thought I'd pass a little info along about getting a deal on XM. My wife just bought a new car that has XM. We also have XM in an 04 Accord. I was going to call and cancel the XM on the Accord so I did a little reasearch before canceling
I called XM
At the prompts I chose "cancel service"
I got to a live rep and told her I wanted to cancel service
I mentioned that I got a letter a while back offering me $77/year (I lied)
She said that they can honor that offer.
I then told her that I wanted to add our new car for $6.99/month
So my total is now $161/year for 2 cars
I was paying $164/year for 1 car
If they ask you the coupon code (they didn't for me) it is ZWINBACK

I don't have XM, but I have Sirius and I hope it doesn't mess with my subscription. I got a "lifetime" subscription for like $250, and they allow you to transfer the subscription to a new receiver 3 times.
