Re: When do you turn the air on?

Good lord you guys are lightweights, open some windows. I wait as long as possible to turn my air on, it's been so nice and breezy out recently I hope to make it to mid-June.

And I, Bruno, will dive 1,000 feet into a block of cement. On my head, yet!

I have air, but have never used it. I like my utility bills to be around $50 a month in the summer.

Save us tonight, the last hope for all of us,
Light-years gone by, we're still holding on,
Save us tonight, a star shines in all of us,
Far beyond our lives, still our glory lives on.

The A/C in the house doesn't come on until at least July. Interior temps have to get up to at least 80 degrees for me to even consider turning it on.

I voted Memorial Day but in reality it will probably be on before that when we hit upper 80's by mid-week. I can't handle a hot house and I definitely can't sleep in a hot house. I've got fans on everywhere.

Never argue with an idiot. They will bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

Re: When do you turn the air on?

Our problem is the kids at night. My wife is too scared to leave the windows open, so we have to lock the house up at night, and then after it gets over 75, it is just too hot inside.

I guess I put a new super efficiency AC unit last year, I should just give it a whirl.

Re: When do you turn the air on?

It's already ran a couple of times this past week, and by memorial day will run until October more than likely. I can generally hold out longer than the wife can, as May seems early to me to run it, but that's just the Iowan coming out. It gets hot here in Arkansas way to early!

Re: When do you turn the air on?

Gotta be over 80 in the house for me to turn it on. I'm reading 78 in my house right now in Clive, but the downstairs is much cooler and that is where my daughter sleeps so she won't be hot.

The wife is always freezing even if it's 90 so she won't be hot. I'll be a tad stuffy tonight, but should manage.

Re: When do you turn the air on?

Its 79, creeping towards 80 here and my wife is almost 7 months pregnant so I have a feeling the air is going on. I can handle just the windows being open, but my wife keeps them shut in the 2-year-olds room so it gets warm in there.

Exaggeration is a BILLION times worse than understating.

Computers and monitors can raise the temp too. We had it on one day so far.

It's on for good...for allergies. Otherwise we'd probably use windows more. It's worth the money for us to feel good!

Turning the AC on already? We're still running the furnace when we first wake up otherwise its a tad too chilly jump in the shower. Probably won't run the AC much until almost July.
