When do you turn the air on?

I'm sorry, but where are the kids going to go? When I was a kid we slept with the windows open if were were lucky! And that was the winter. No, I'm just kidding. But really, I don't understand all this excessive AC use, I mean we're trying to save a planet aren't we? Not that I'm a proponent of environmentalism at all, but think of all the energy that's being wasted so we can 'feel a little better' at night, my god people it's Iowa! It's life! Maybe we should just put ourselves in a bubble and inject some sedative. That would alleviate the 'uncomfortable-ness' that abounds in this world!

I'm thinking of turning on the air just so I don't have to hear the neighbor kids. I really think they should make developments where kids are not allowed. I would pay an extra $20K.

For some reason that gives me a vision of the Simpsons episode where Mr. Burns is trying to steal his teddy bear back from Maggie and he and Smithers have several failed attempts to break in and steal it.

If our dog didnt bark at every stupid noise outside, I would have the windows open until it was absolutely necessary to turn on the air. I love the breeze coming in the windows. I spent summers working at a camp with no air con and just open windows and tent camping. Was great.

we tried having the windows open Friday night, but neighbors a few doors down and across the street were pretty loud until the wee hours of the morning (OK, 11 pm for us is late) so I wussed out and turned on the air.
