When do you turn the air on?
A question I ask every year at this time:
They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. - Benjamin Franklin 1775 -

Re: When do you turn the air on?
True... I have had ours on once because I could not sleep. I am worried that our house will be 80 tonight when I try to go to sleep...

Re: When do you turn the air on?
Actually, I was just lying. I don't even have air conditioning. Without the humidity here it usually works just to have some fans. I do wish I have it though when I try to sleep. Last night it was probably 95 in my room and no fan.

Re: When do you turn the air on?
I think the first time this year was late March to early April. What, you were still getting snow then. Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that. ~ George Carlin
There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves Orcs. ~ John Rogers -
Re: When do you turn the air on?
It's already been on. My current house is a story and a half, and the upstairs gets stuffy quickly. Luckily, I'm moving in a week or two. -
Re: When do you turn the air on?
It's been on for a while now. Doesn't mean that it has been running though. I come from a family that likes it cold. I think the heat at night in my parent's house is set at like 58. Only warms up to 64 or so during the day. A/C is 73 during the day and 68 at night. Plus we all suffer from nasty allergies so we close up the house pretty early.

no specific date...but it looks like this year i will be able to wait until after memorial day. by the time i get home from work its back in the 70s so no reason to cool the house while im gone.

It's on now. Thanks to the tree pollen in the air.

Re: When do you turn the air on?
Basically when I start to feel miserable. Fortunately that hasn't happened yet.
Chuck Lidell: I paint my toenails with pink and black polish. Problem is, I get more paint on my toes and on the carpet than on my nails. Any advice? Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this. -
Re: When do you turn the air on?
It's been way to nice to even think about turning it on. Once it gets muggy out the heat pump will be running.

I sleep in the daytime. It's wayyyyy too warm if it's not on.

Re: When do you turn the air on?
I've had mine on off and on... keeping the place a bit cooler than the rest of you but half of the time I've had it on it's been because of humidity rather than temperature... I need to get a dehumidifier but those cost money Oh we will fight, fight, fight for Iowa State, and may her colors ever fly!!! In Accordance with Prophecy
