My wife and I are about to move, and we are trying to decide between providers for our phone, internet and tv. I've had Qwest internet and phone with dish network for tv. No real complaints there. My wife had all on Mediacom. Her only complaint there (other than continually increasing bills) was that the phone would randomly not ring when someone called, and go straight to voicemail. We are trying to decide between Qwest including direct tv, or mediacom. We are wanting HD and a DVR along with broadband internet of course. Any thoughts, or other suggestions?

Mediacom to Direct was the best move EVER. Direct is the best if you love HD.
Qwest phone isnt too bad either.
I dont mind paying a little more when I get a thousand times better product.

I'd stick with Qwest and the dish if I were you.
I WISH I could do the same, but I've got tremendous tree coverage in the way so I'm stuck with Mediacom. Horrible customer service and when you have an outage it lasts entirely too long. Only thing going for them is the Cyclone replay shows. | |

Qwest isn't lightning fast, but it is cheap. I locked in for life at like 24.99 for internet service. With a phone package that has caller id/call waiting/ and anonymous call rejection my total bill is like $60/month. I used to have mediacom and it was about $60 just for internet. |

Not sure if this has been posted yet but I just realized I have ESPN/ESPN2 HD now on mediacom. It used to tell me I had to subscribe for 9.95/month. Is this a free preview or what?

Mediacom is a junk show!!! It will not take another dime from me...our cable was out for over a week before they got around to fixing it...and Direct has better everything but will be a bit more $$$ (worth it!) | |
