Dude, why the fun killing

Now I realize some folks are rather stressed and angry about events currently happening but I'm wondering why those of use who want to have fun and blow off a bit of steam keep having their threads deleted? I've seen 2 separate threads made and deleted within minutes which just doesn't seem right to me! ISU will weather this crisis and the sun will rise tomorrow and set tonight.

I agree. Why can't we have a non-WJ thread?

I don't think I'm alone when I say I'd like to see more and more planets fall under the ruthless domination of our solar system.

Better change that image to a dog.

Anybody ever seen The Mummy? Maybe the Thread Deleter thinks cats are the rulers of the underworld?

ISU Student - Iowa fan. Best of both worlds.

The one I started was in Off Topic. I'm not sure what the issue is there.

I can understand the issues with deleting posts in the "officall WJ lets dive into the ocean with lead weights attached to our feet" thread that were off topic. But seriously, what is wrong with lolcats and wanting to know what Maryland is like?

We're in full scale meltdown mode. DEFCON 5. Chernobyl. We can't waste our time having fun. We must complain, overanalyze, and care WAY too much about MBB right now. We, as dissenters, need to assimilate.

Save us tonight, the last hope for all of us,
Light-years gone by, we're still holding on,
Save us tonight, a star shines in all of us,
Far beyond our lives, still our glory lives on.

Harriet Michaels: Do you actually like haggis?
Charlie Mackenzie: No, I think it's repellent in every way. In fact, I think most Scottish cuisine is based on a dare.

(Three-Mile Island, because Chernobyl doesn't look as much like a nuke plant)

Also, I believe DEFCON 5 is peacetime.

DEFCON 1 is where someone's last words are OH SH!
