Re: Indiana Jones
I saw it today and thought it tied in really well with Indy's history and the other movies. I liked how they presented Indy as a professor too, how he just starts 'lecturing' on a question.
I felt kinda bad that the bad guys didn't notice The Ark on the way out. -
Re: Indiana Jones
Just saw it for the second time and I think I enjoyed it more because I was prepared for some of the campy stuff.
Two scenes that should have been removed are 1) Shia LeBeouf playing Tarzan and 2) Marian driving the car off the cliff onto the tree.

Ha! As soon as they hit that warehouse and I saw all of the boxes I immediately thought the Ark was there. I thought that was great!

Re: Indiana Jones
I enjoyed the performance of Mr. Jan I. Tor.
I would've loved to see more of him.
I liked young Tarzan, and her driving.

Re: Indiana Jones
I was a fan of it overall. Wasn't the biggest fan of the aliens, though.
The one thing I gotta say is what happened to the Karen Allen I knew and loved? Back in Animal House and Raiders she was absolutely smoking hot. Now, although she qualifies as a GMILF, she's rapidly aging like milk left out...
Chuck Lidell: I paint my toenails with pink and black polish. Problem is, I get more paint on my toes and on the carpet than on my nails. Any advice? Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this. -
Re: Indiana Jones
Pretty much agree with what most people have said and I enjoyed it aside some really lame scenes. The girls I was with said Indy's son needed to be better looking.

And yet Ford, IMO, picked up where he left off, right? The only difference being that he's 'greyed'
Never argue with an idiot. They will bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience. -

I was wrong. This is a terrible movie.
There are some funny scenes and one liners. But overall, the plot is far too off-the-wall.
That two scenes you pointed out are the same ones that I thought the movie really lost me.
My opinion is movies can have imaginary stuff in them but when dealing with the known physical world, movies need to try to be accurate and realistic. For example, a movie can have a ghost and I'm ok with that. It is made up. But when you are swinging from vines through the jungle, that is something real to the physical world and just isn't going to happen the way it was portrayed. I thought that was a very "Lucas" moment in this moive.
I just can't recommend this movie to anyone. If anything, wait for DVD.

For sequels like this, I always go in expecting the worst....that way I'm usually pleasantly surprised. Also a good way to approach Cyclone athletics sometimes...

Re: Indiana Jones
It was unbelievable, too far-fetched, and the chase seen was stupid. Other than that it was a fun 90 minutes. I love the ants, by far the best scene in the movie!!

Re: Indiana Jones
I thought the movie was horrible.
I turned to a buddy more times than I can count during the movie for the "this movie is ridiculous" look.
The scene with the kid swinging through the trees with the monkeys - I almost walked out right there.

Re: Indiana Jones
Lucas made this movie for kids. If you are over the age of 10 then I don't recommend going to see it. Can someone please make a sequel that doesn't pander to kids?

Re: Indiana Jones
I'm over ten. I had a great time. I'd have a great time again.
The whole point is that it was a fun adventure movie. This didn't change the world, but it was a fun time for my little family.
