That makes some sense. I wish the finale threw us a little more of a bone. It was just classic tease. The thing I hate about these flash forwards is that you kind of know what will happen and can piece it together easier.

Not sure about why she'd help Widmore, but I believe she said she blames two people for Jin's death, and we know one of them is her father and the other one is Jack.

He came for Claire shortly after she died, and same for Michael. What makes you think that Claire is dead? Just wondering.

In the first episode last night, Sun confronted her father after buying controlling interest in the company. She told him that two people were responsible for Jin being on that island, her father being one of them.
Widmore arranged the fake crash, the mercenaries, etc. What if Widmore is the second person she spoke of. Keep you friends close and your enemies closer?

I was thinking about Jin not being dead. There was one episode where Sun is giving birth and Jin is searching around for that giant teddy bear. And at the end, it was a present for someone else and Jin mentions he is married (not to Sun). At first I thought it was a flashback but that would have been the only flashback of Season 4 and wouldn't make sense. I think Jin isn't dead either.

Also, I think Claire is dead...that she died in the explosion at the Other's houses.

Agree with both of these points: Kate is talking about Aaron, and Jin is not dead.

I still don't see why that automatically means she's dead. I think she's alive but sadly Jin is a dead man.

I think she's using Widmore to get back to the island, and therefore back to Jin.

Re: LOST FINALE thread (yep...starting at 8 AM on this one)
And what happened to the disappearing island?
This show has went from an adventure, then to a thriller, then to a fantasy, then to science fiction in three years in order to improve and stretch the arc.
Well, we know they all must go back next year including the coffin body.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -

She's dead...I'd bet big money on it.
However, "dead" on the island is not likely to be "dead" as we think of it.

Locke in the coffin. Charlotte was born on the island (more than likely).
Still don't know who Kate is waiting for from the end of last year, and in the episode tonight, at the airport, when Jack says they have to go back.
Not sure that Jin is dead...I bet he isn't. Sun is betting on that, too, by going to meet Whidmore to try to get back to the island to see for sure. Wonder how Des and Lapidus will play into things in the future.
Christian is some Grim Reaper/St Peter combo guy.
If people die on the island, their physical bodies die, but is their 'spirit' captured in the island's grasp? I know, that's out there, but Hurley is playing chess with Echo, seeing Charlie, etc.
I thought that was a great season ender...a lot to chew on, more questions, too. Good stuff. When Ben said everyone has to go back in order to get to the island I wonder if Des and Lapidus need to go back as well
I thought it was an awesome finale, if a show can leave me cussing @ it in the last minutes Im sure it was a good one, Im sure locke didnt die on the island It had to be on the mainland where he was a cripple I wonder if the Jeremy Bentham name is just a cover up name so Locke could travel incognito around the mainland IDK
Id never thought Id say can't wait till Janurary but bring on winter haha
Just whatched GMA and the Alternative People in the Coffin were Sawyer and Des like they said it was Locke they just did alternatives just in case the word got out it was Locke

Re: LOST FINALE thread (yep...starting at 8 AM on this one)
Another thing I found very interesting was that Locke (or Jeremy Benthem) came to visit Jack, Hurley, Kate, and likely the other 3 of the Oceanic 6 to tell them something very bad happened at it was their (or Jack's) fault and that they needed to go back.
#1 - What happened that was bad?
#2 - How did Locke get back to the "real" world? Same methods Ben used?
