This reminds me of the cryout for the new resident evil 5 game. The game which plot this time around takes place in Africa. The main character is white and has been in other games in the franchise. A African American group is throwing fits because the "zombies" he is shooting are black. This promotes racial hostility toward black america. Are you kidding me? The game takes place in AFRICA. What do you expect, this will be the demographic there. Holy hell, Resident Evil 4 took place in anglo europe and you shot white zombies. Its just a game.
These kinds of groups are actually doing more harm then good. I understand their original concern and try to empathize with their feelings, but this has gotten out of hand.
Feel sorry for the Original Donuts. They find someone appropriate who will do an ad for them and then they are caboshed by a jihadic symbol. Dunkin Donut was just trying to make a comeback. Feel sorry for the Donut. Have one today.

Kind of funny how perspective changes things. Rachel Ray wearing "that" scarf (especially outside of the narrow US ignorance of what it means) is allegorical to whatsherface with the Che Guevara handbag in Chile.
I saw that picture in this thread, and remembered thinking "WTF is she wearing THAT scarf in an ad???" Bad judgement through ignorance on both her and Dunkin' Donuts' part, imo...
