Spellchecker Mistakes
A spellchecker apparently changed some students' names to what it thought was appropriate in the high school yearbook. Spell-check runs amok in Pa. yearbook - Weird news - MSNBC.com
I wonder how Kathy Airbag feels! Forever trying to find a cure for the Dunning-Kruger Effect. -
Re: Spellchecker Mistakes
They should sue the pants off the school - that is the American way.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -
Re: Spellchecker Mistakes
I saw this the other day, and let me tell you, I would be irate if I was the worker that had to put all of those little stickers in the year books to "fix" the damage. Talk about a pain in the butt.

Re: Spellchecker Mistakes
I'm guessing the company isn't even going to put the stickers on - it sounds like everyone that got a year book will get a set of stickers for the corrections! So you have to put it on yourself... how ***** is that! And I bet they just use normal labels instead of something that matches the high gloss pages of a yearbook. It's the printing company's fault... make them reprint the books for any that want them!

It's the printing company's fault... make them reprint the books for any that want them! If that's what they do, that's a bad idea. In my experience though, the company puts them on there though. Usually it gets caught before they go out to the customers though.

Re: Spellchecker Mistakes
Yearbook companies gone wild!!!
There was a deal about a month ago down here where somebody at the yearbook company went in and altered the student individual pictures...changed backgrounds, put different heads on different bodies, changed hair colors, etc. It was quite a mess. Apparently some employee at the yearbook comapny thought she was doing the students a favor. The yearbooks were reprinted with the unaltered pictures.

That's a long way to go for that. So to recap, hotlinking is not cool, but unauthorized hosting of a copyrighted image is apparently hunky-dory.
