Ankeny dish and internet service

I'm trying to figure out who I can get a better deal through. It appears as if my only real options are Qwest or IowaTelecom if I want to bundle. I'm not too in phone/wireless service. I want fast internet service and a dish service that will give me the sports channels I'm interested in, along with locals and one HD tuner.

I'd like to hear some opinions of those who live in Ankeny. Would it be wise to bundle through one of these two companies? Or should I just sign up through DirectTV or DishNetwork and get my internet service independently?

Thanks in advance.

Mediacom's bundled price is tough to beat when you throw in phone service. I don't know if they have the sports channels you are looking for though.

Exaggeration is a BILLION times worse than understating.

Unless they've picked up Comcast Sports Net - Chicago in this area, no. They had it when I lived in Waterloo, but not in central Iowa. Apparently they don't believe there are enough Cubs fans in central Iowa.

I live in Ankeny and have internet through qwest and Direct.

I like both products so far.

The higher cost vs. Mediacom is WELL worth it.

As an avid Cub fan, I LOVE Direct.

When football and basketball comes around the sports pack is a must.

it has nothing to do with Cubs fans, it has everything to do with Iowa State fans...Fox Sports Midwest(I think that is the channel name) shows Iowa State games some of the time and the just so happen to not broadcast the
Cubs...so I guess pick your poison.

Which is a valid excuse assuming they can't carry both, which they did when I lived in Waterloo. I had Fox Sports Midwest with all of the Iowa State and St. Louis Cardinals games, as well as CSN-Chicago. I've never had that adequately explained to me by Mediacom.

I have the sports pack year round. I love the Mike & the Mad Dog simulcast on the YES network.
