Thank you Wes Johnson for the great 2 years you gave Iowa State. Wish you could've stayed. Best of luck to you, wherever you end up.
"The one thing I really want to say is to tell the fans thank you for everything," Johnson said. "You rooted for me, you were behind me with my injury, and I really appreciated that."

When confronted by a radical vegetarian, or animal rights freak, I just calmly and cooly explain that I eat meat not for nutrition, or because of my upbringing, or ignorance, or even because it tastes good.
I eat meat because I like to know that some living, sentient creature, had to suffer and die, and I LIKE that.
I have NEVER had someone continue to argue the point, after delivering that line. NEVER!!! |

I have a friend at Grinnell, and he hangs out with a lot of vegetarians. He'll go out of his way to savour every bite of his hamburger, or say things like "oh man, just think, this cow was alive like, a week ago."

We actually converted one of our co-workers from vegetarian to meat eater, all thanks to Hooter's! He started out on celery and before it was over he was knockin' out wings faster than they could bring 'em. He paid the price though since his system wasn't used to meat consumption.

Anyone see the picture of the girl holding a sandwich and wearing a Burger King crown on her head. That is hilarious.

I'm all for supporting vegetarians, but damn, it's a personal choice and should stay that way. The only reason those big production line farms that treat animals inhumanely is because consumers vote to keep them in business with their wallet. If you're so concerned about it, promote the positives and stop relying on shock value to get your point across.

I find it amazing that PETA can never seem to get their point across without resorting to shock tactics done in the worst way possible. It just seems to turn people against them. Fine by me since I love eating all sorts of animals, but I find it almost sad that they are so inept as an organization. I had a friend who actually quit the organization be cause of their tactics and general reputation. I think this was around the time they were ambushing parents and children outside of McDonald's with photos of slaughtered cows. Damn thats classy.
