Uncontacted Brazilian tribe sighted

I'm surprised I hadn't seen this posted and discussed yet. Then again it happened a week ago so maybe I'm just very slow on the news.

At any rate, it's a very interesting story about an uncontacted native tribe sighted and photographed by airplane in Brazil.

Story is here: BBC NEWS | Americas | Isolated tribe spotted in Brazil
Video is here: BBC NEWS | Special Reports | Indian tribe found in Brazil
Photos are here: BBC NEWS | In Pictures | In pictures: Brazil tribe

Makes you wonder how many other undiscovered groups are still deep in the Amazon basin. If logging keeps up, we'll find out sooner or later.

TRUE AND VALIANT

That is craaazy. I didn't even know these kinds of tribes actually existed. How crazy would it be to be a part of their community. Looking at this plane flying across their sky. How do they rationalize that to themselves?

Yeah I watched tape of that from a week or so ago. Absolutely unbelievable to see stuff like that and to think that we haven't reached all the different groups of people in the "New World". Where else are there tribes that haven't had contact with the modern world??

Yeah, something like that. You'd have to be a little off the catch yourself nodding in agreeance with you chief at the nightly council meeting when the say, "yeah, we need to plan our defense against those steel dragons we've been seeing lately!"

We could be an uncontacted (or contacted if you believe in alien sightings) universal tribe and there might be life out there asking the same about us... as they fly their space ships through our skies....

Chizik: "One thing that I’d encourage our fans…I want them to be the loudest stadium in the Big 12. I don’t care…I want Jack Trice stadium to be the loudest in the Big 12 and I think that creates homefield advantage.... I want to stress to everyone…I want this place to be juiced up. They bought 36,000 season tickets so there is a passion there…don’t hide it…let it out. I want there to be a passion in the stadium."

Many believe the finding of this 'undiscovered' tribe is a scam. The area is remote, but not that remote. The photo op is believed to be staged by an environmental group who is lobbying for conservation efforts.

I'm a credible source - I have the pinky ring, plaid suit, and Mr. T starter set to prove it!

They may be an "undiscovered tribe" but I bet they hate the Hawkeyes....

I think this is probably an elaborate hoax, though.

It's not a hoax. I emailed one of the tribe members and he called me back on his cell phone to verify that they have had no contact with the modern world.
