Is that like a peck-on-the-cheek kiss or do I need to slip it a little tongue?

My grandpa is getting hit hard right now. He has a farm in between Corning and Creston. But I talked to him and it's been ok down there so far...

Cyclone
Iowa State became the Cyclones after they leveled Northwestern in 1895. As the Chicago Tribune (9/29/1895) noted:
'Struck by a Cyclone
It Comes from Iowa and Devastates Evanston Town'

Ed always gets a hard-on when bad weather takes place. He can stay on 13-2 (his weather station) and keep hockey on 13-1. This has been a very entertaining Stanley Cup series.

KCCI has a spotter on the phone - said it's about a half mile west of town - may or may not hit the town.

Re: Storm Watch

There is a huge storm out north of Lincoln, headed over towards Omaha and SW Iowa. This thing looks VERY dangerous.

Eat well, stay fit, die anyway

Re: Storm Watch

This is going to be bad. I looked at map at weather.com today where they showed a big blob and labeled it "high probability of tornadoes" and the entire state of Iowa was covered. The 10-day-forecast has strong/severe thunderstorms for TEN STRAIGHT DAYS. If the meteorologists are right...this is going to be a bad week for Iowa.

Yes, I'm an ISU Alum and Hawkeye fan...get over it.

I knew we had a meteorologist on here. Thanks.

And actually, I'm glad those storms down south missed Indianola.

ISU Student - Iowa fan. Best of both worlds.
