Here are somemore.
1. Get Gary Thomspson on the radio: Good idea, for the winter. Will do.
2. Talk to coach Orr for a whole show: Spoke with him on the show in early May. But you can't do that for 2 hrs
3. Have a show on the top 10 ISU FB teams of all time
4. Have a show on the top 10 ISU BB teams of all time: Good ideas...but I wonder if I have done this already in the last two years...will ask Corey
5. Get Jim Walden on to talk about how hard it is to win at ISU and his experences there: Good idea, will do that in August
6. Have you had Coach Chizik on yet?: Not this spring/summer. Coaches usually take time off in July, like the whole month, and football camps are rolling in June.
7. Get some former ISU BB players on that played overseas this past year: Good idea
8. Paul Shearly is always a good interview or guest host
9. Get former ISU players on that are working in front offices in the NBA: Give me some names...I know we have Hornacek...is Hoiberg back?
10. Get ISU players that are in the NFL on: With mini's, volunteers and other camps coming up, that could be a challenge, but good idea
11. Get Steve Looney on and talk about his days at ISU: repetitive
12. I am sure Danny Mac would do an interview with you: Thought about that this am, actually
13. Get the new guy from ISU's scout site on: At some point, I will call him to see how he will do on the radio
14. Get Mac Brown on:
15. When you talk about CF posters why not have them on your show so the talk can go more than one way: 515-284-5966 is the number to call

That should give you a few topics a week, until football starts. Dont forget to give CF credit for giving you these ideas. JM: Keep em coming.

And Ken Miller, if you are reading this, back off! ;)

And Jon just so you know the better team has won the ISU-Iowa game each year except in 2002, and that was just a weird game. JM: a good debate ...now that's my kind of topic. I take the Hawk side, you bring yours ;)

Ok, how about the help that various sports teams in the area have supplied Parkersburg with. I think I saw pictures of the ISU football team up there and I heard that Dowling went up there.

Well the least you could do is make a donation to the site that is apparently helping to butter your bread.

Jon - why do the other radio guys "hide" their identity on boards? Or don't they? I only ever see you post.

My avatar is a pic I took from my phone camera at the spring game. Gotta love Cy on a bike.

I think Ken's is fairly well known, and includes his last name.

And if fairness, the interwebs is my second language ;)

Here's a great time-waster: The best football player ever to wear #1, #2, #3 ... #99. And when that's done, move on to basketball.

Re: Apparently, Jon needs help...

Hey, Jon. Maybe you should learn how to use the "quotes" thingy, so we can actually read your responses to posts, here. This is like your third message today, where you embedded your response inside the quotes. Kind of hard to read.

You can just manually input the
at the end of the place you want to stop, and then put a new
where you want the other guy's quote to start again.

Try it, you (and I) will like it better, I think.

On your radio show; Jon, I think it might be the host, not the callers as to why it's super-slow. Your initial problem two years ago was that you weren't a very compelling listen. I'm assuming you've worked on that. If not, I have no explanation as to why you're still on the air.

I know that I would SUCK at being a talk-show host. I'm just not competent enough to keep the convo moving in an "interesting" direction to fill up X hours of material.

Something that very few people around here talk about is racing. How about some NASCAR talk or review of the different tracks in the area. I thought I heard that Iowa had the most tracks per capita in the US...

I TOTALLY agree with this. They were in the midst of a 9 game win streak yesterday.

Yes, I'm an ISU Alum and Hawkeye fan...get over it.
