How about getting Fred Hoiberg on leading up to the NBA draft? Also, about the Parkersburg mess, cyclones.com has a story about the ISU FB team helping out there.

Nothing wrong with some rivalry talk over the summer though. At least people are passionate about it.

This is no rip on Jon because I think he does a decent job on his show and that he is a very smart guy. That being said, I think it would be great if he could get a co-host on his show that wears the Cardinal and Gold colored glasses. That would give it the whole Odd Couple feel and make the show great IMO.

As an addition to my post I would like to add they would need to be REAL cardinal and gold glasses, not maize and blue glasses disguised as something else, or anyone on the school board.

just talk college football all year long, you could try to sprinkle in some NFL talk, but I know you've said you're not into it like the college game.

Along with college football, we could talk about tailgating food, traditions, who has the best tailgates, etc....

Has Deacer broken down the football magazines yet? Bring him in early and let him go off, his knowledge is unbelievable.

I mean really Jon, you could talk college football all year long and I would be happy.

I'm sure that you would hold your own, however, it seems that this situation would play right into Jon's hands. A sort of point - counterpoint discussion. It gives him free rein to outwardly bash the Cyclones and defend the Hawks. I really think that he would enjoy doing this.

I would rather see a payoff where Jon agreed to let you or a group of Cyclone fans set the tone and agenda of the show. Put Jon in a situation where he has to use his own words to get on the Chizik bandwagon and openly question the viability of the Ferentz regime. That would make my day. I'm sure that it would only be for a day as Jon would backtrack like crazy when he regained control of his show.

I have a racing segment each week, and probably talk more racing than anyone on KXNO

As for the Cubs, we talk about them at least 10 minutes each day. But its a 162 game season...there is only so much you can do day to day,.

Have been there already...Sabathia will be out there, but how much to give up for a guy who will probably resign with Cleveland after the year is over, as he is a FA. Maddux has been talked about, but don't think so.
