Duff closed again

Duff ave has been closed in both directions again this afternoon due to flooding. It will only be a matter of time before you can't get through ames again.

Here is a site that will allow you to see what roads are closed in the state of iowa.

I didn't think that it flooded anywhere. It doesn't say that duff is closed

Duff is still open; I can see the cars from my office window.

Sorry, but according to the DOT US 69 is closed between US 30 and South 5th street until around 7 pm tonight. So unless I can't read or the DOT is off their rockers, Duff avenue is closed.

well, it's open right now. I work right off of south duff, and it's definitely not closed.

If you are there, I can't argue with that. I'm just going off the internet and want to make sure that I don't get caught out side of ames if 30 were to close.

Or maybe you're actually Moses and you parted the waters on Duff.

I just came up Duff from South 17th to Lincoln Way about 20 minutes ago. No problems

There's always the possibility that maybe the water's getting close, and they're planning on closing it? I work on S. Duff, too, but haven't made it north at all.

Re: Duff closed again

they may be projecting that it will close. When it flooded a week ago, it was about this time when the water started to really rise, so maybe they're just taking a precaution.

S 5th st is WAY up by Main street ... so that would mean closed all the way from 30 to the power plant ...

seems like a heck of a stretch of road.

I don't see anywhere on that site that says its closed. I pay pretty close attention to it since my daughter's babysitter is by the mall.

South 5th is the road between Walmart and target...with the bowling alley on the corner.

South 5th is by the bowling alley. "Regular" 5th is by Main Street.

None of the Ames rivers are anywhere near the level they were last week, and are not forecasted to be.
