Re: More rain on its way

It just started pouring in Johnston. This event may or may not be related to the fact that I was about to take the trash out to the curb.

The cities and counties have given nothing. I know it is not a exact science and no one can know how bad it will get when we are breaking a record, but I would really love to see some information so I can make my own conclusions.
I know flying over Missouri that the river looked like lake. It sounds like it is worse than 93.

I think the weather radio went off about this time, don't know for sure as I turned it off and went back to bed.

    Equals very bad things....

If they get that amount of rainfall over the next two days as forecasted, the '93 floods are going to seem like a picnic compared to what will be going on in downtown Des Moines. And that's not considering any rain that might occur beyond that.

That's a very damning forecast (no pun intended!). I hope it doesn't happen. Des Moines would come to a stand still.

Saylorville's record high is 892.03 feet. Saylorville is projected to reach 890.11 feet on Thursday. Eep.
