OT: Facebook/MySpace
I have been addicted to both these sites lately. Just curious who uses what, if either.

Re: OT: Facebook/MySpace
Who needs premium boards and inside sources when you have Facebook?
-
Re: OT: Facebook/MySpace
I never really got into Myspace when it started. I signed up got a couple friends but then kinda stopped. Started on Facebook in 2004 when we started a "class group" and have been using that since.

Wow. I'm the only one to have voted "Neither" so far. I just don't understand the appeal of these kinds of websites. And it's not like I'm some old guy who doesn't know what the interwebs are. I'm 28. I've really never even thought about signing up with one of these things.

Re: OT: Facebook/MySpace
It is, click on a number to see who's in it.
I'm a Facebook man, been on it since about a month after it came to ISU (Before the Daily had an article about it).
Had a MySpace account once so I could get a picture from someone... on a whole never got into it, didn't like it, deleted my account, and listed some anti-emo reasons as to why I was doing so.
Don't care for how commercialized Facebook has become, but still good for keeping in contact with friends so I don't forsee deleting that one (though my use of it has declined considerably)

Before I clicked on this topic I was guessing what the distribution might be... I'm sure it's a bit skewed as those that don't have either probally are ignoring this thread

This could be true. I was thinking that most people who hang out on an internet message board would have one or the other, but I have been wrong before. -
Re: OT: Facebook/MySpace
Basically, it's a time saver for me. I have all my friends from both my high schools, three colleges, and different baseball teams I have played on through the years. I don't have to look up email adresses, just click on their picture and send them a message or visit their page to see how they are doing... Found some old friends I hadn't talked to in years on there too, I love it...
Another thing I love about Myspace is finding new music and keeping up with bands I have seen, where they are playing, etc...

Re: OT: Facebook/MySpace
I'm soon turning 35 and use both as it's the only way to keep in touch with family anymore as instant messenging seems to have gone the way of the dinosaur. All though, I don't get into decorating my myspace page, it's as dull as dull can be.
