Eat at McDonalds, Lose Weight

Man drops 85 pounds on McDonald's diet - UPI.com

A Virginia man says he lost 85 pounds by eating salads, hamburgers without buns and other items at the same restaurant -- McDonald's.

Chris Coleson, 42, told ABC's "Good Morning America" Thursday he spent six months eating only at the fast food restaurant. He said he also had wraps and apple dippers.

Coleson said he started out at 276 pounds . He said he dropped 14 pants sizes.
Do you suppose this guy is the next Jared?

Re: Eat at McDonalds, Lose Weight

As long as you are getting the proper nutrients, the "kinds" of food you eat are irrelevant. To be sure, it's tougher to diet with the calorie-rich foods, because they lack mass.

If you don't mind feeling hungry, (which is actually a good feeling, once you get used to it) you could eat basically anything, as long as you're getting proper nutrition.

I suppose it's tougher to get everything you need at MacDonald's, but entirely possible.

My cardiologist has me on a sodium restricted diet of no more than 1500 mg daily. I haven't eaten at a McDonald's on over 2 years and I try to avoid fast food as much as possible.

Re: Eat at McDonalds, Lose Weight

It's not McDonald's fault that people gain weight from eating there. People should know better than to eat 2 Big Mac's with large fries and large soda's every single day. Even if you eat at McDonald's, you can get a salad or smaller portions. This guy is proof of that.

I don’t care…I want Jack Trice stadium to be the loudest in the Big 12 and I think that creates homefield advantage.... I want to stress to everyone…I want this place to be juiced up. They bought 36,000 season tickets so there is a passion there…don’t hide it…let it out. I want there to be a passion in the stadium."

The guy said he limited himself to 1400 calories per day. It irrelevant of where he ate. He picked McDonalds. It could have been Long John Silvers. It doesn't matter. The key is the calorie count and limiting to a weight loss number like 1400.
