Re: Favorite tailgating drink
We usually start with bloody marys or beer and clamato. Plenty of domestic beer with a few 6's of import/microbrew. We also employ "panty droppers", which for those who don't know are sprite bottles (2L) dumped out to the lable, filled with vodka with one packet of kool-aid. Those things go down tooo easy.

Re: Favorite tailgating drink
I guess this is as good as any time to let you guys in on my secret. I've recently stumbled on an excellent combination of water, yeast, barley and hops that combine into a delicious drink. I call it cmoneyr's miracle elixir, try it at your next tailgate.

Goose Island Honker's Ale. Or anything with Vodka

Re: Favorite tailgating drink
Coca-cola. Although if it's an early-morning tailgate, I like to go with milk first (with my donuts), and then move to the harder Coca-cola after I'm a little more awake.

Re: Favorite tailgating drink
depends on what we are cooking up.....breakfast is blood mary's and the average grilling is coors light, bud light, ect. if we cook something up nice we bring out the fat tire, blue moon, ect. night games usually get the jack and cokes.

Good cold micro brews during the warm months or if its cold out, Hot cider and cinnamon schnapps. Thanks for the P-droppers recipe...might need to make that one up this next year.....hhmmm
Any other recipes worthy of noting for tailgaiting? Anyone have a killer B-Mary's recipe?

Re: Favorite tailgating drink
We used to drink wop (aka strip and go naked, or concoction) which is a nice mix of beer, vodka (or everclear if you're feeling saucy) and lemon concentrate. Delicious, but extremely potent. Now, if I'm lucky I'll do a bloody mary, but generally speaking massive quantities of beer. If you'll notice my sig pic, that is a delicious Natural Ice that had been stuck between my crotch for about a half hour, so naturally (no pun intended) I have upgraded. This year I plan to make Olde Main an essential part of my tailgate ritual. Something about it just sounds so right!

They end up being a super cheap drink and will really knock you out if you don't watch it since you can't taste the alcohol. It's a good pass-around drink, especially if you get one of those huge 60 oz mugs with ice. And the girls love it. You don't even have to get decent vodka since you can't taste it anyway. Of course, we always spring for the extra buck to avoid buying hawkeye (just on principle).
