Re: More mainstream alien news
Just looking at the universe, and considering how many BILLIONS of star there are, to think that there isn't ONE other star that has planets within its solar system capable of developing intelligent life is absurd to me.
I'm not so sure about America seeing more UFOs... there are tons of sightings in Mexico, S. America, and the UK.... if you want to see an interesting website on this topic as well as other bizarre happenings, check out www.Earthfiles.com
Also, from an archeaological (sp.?) perspective, check out the 1972 movie "Chariots of the Gods" (based on the book- it's available on Netflix)... it discusses evidence as old as 6,000 years of the planet being visited by extraterrestials.
Re: More mainstream alien news
I don't see how ****** couldn't have also lived and died on another planet as well. If the entire universe is God's creation, why can't another civilization on another planet be saved in addition to us? Just because it isn't in our Bible doesn't mean it isn't possible.
I think it is very easy for ET to exist along with Christianity. Now if they come on down to have a chat with us and don't have some form of Christianity in their world, then things may start to break down a little bit.

Honest question larrysArmy: If there was a massive disclosure would it force you to re-consider your faith?
For me it would not. I believe in the death and resurrection of ****** and having ET out there does not change that belief.
I am aware of the link you've posted. Thanks for the heads up...
In terms of a massive disclosure of hard evidence of ET's, I would be most curious. Would it shatter my faith....I don't know. The Bible doesn't mention anything other than man. Jesus came to earth to seek and save that which is lost. Who's lost....man. Not ET's. Does that mean God can't create an ET? No...he's God - he can do what he wants, but we are neither told (in the Bible) or have any hard evidence to make that conclusion.
However, the Bible says that all Scripture is inspired and useful for teaching, correction, re-buke, ect. All we need or what God wanted for his creation was recorded in the Bible. If God wanted us to know of the "supposive ET's" he would have referenced it. Because if they were going to come to his earth, in which God's plan of redemption is currently on-going, don't you think he would of included the ET's along with the other false teachers, doctrines that the Bible warns us to look out for? Knowing full well, ET's would be a cause of concern to his people, because it would contradict his Word?

So if aliens are proven to exist in the future what's your explanation exactly? God didn't put it in the Bible because...? And if that's the case, and since God created all life and therefore created the aliens, what else did he leave out of the bible? Wouldn't you wonder what else was maybe left out or changed for whatever reason?

Maybe he left every planet its own bible and made it so it only applied to them.
On a different note, I wish aliens would visit. I need something to do.

Lazy, go find them! I saw some weird people on my way to work today, I'd start there.

That would kind of make it seem like we're not the special little miracles we've been made out to be.

I stop reading as soon as I read this kind of ridiculous circular logic.

Because it isn't pertinent or relevant to the primary message of the Bible, which is the salvation of man through God's son Jesus ******.
The Bible is quite clear that man and God aren't the only beings in the universe. There are numerous reference to angels and their interaction with man throughout the Old and New Testaments. If a couple of angels want to do a fly-by to see what's going on down here, who's to argue?

Again....we are dealing with hypothetical situations, based off no real hard evidence. So my reaction would be mixed at this point.
Hypothetically, Would I have questions....yes. Does that mean God doesn't exist...no. Does that mean God created ET's....Yes (Because God created the universe and everything in it)
All I know is that God's revelation to us, the Bible, doesn't speak of ET's and leaves little, if any, room outside of his recorded creation and man.

So what else did he leave out that might not be "pertinant" information? Seems that if you can accept that he left out the existence of aliens that it wouldn't be too hard to believe that he could leave out other facts?

What's ridiculous about God...using man....to write his Word for us to live by, teach by, correct by?

I hate to break it to you but your religion, or religion in general, is largely based off of hypotheticals with no hard evidence.
Re: More mainstream alien news
This has been a good discussion so far but I'm starting to sense some tension starting up. Can we keep it civil please?
