9/11 Plane Shot Down?

It the trial of Osama's driver, the Navy prosecutor said in his opening remarks:

"If they hadn't shot down the fourth plane it would've hit the dome," Stone, a Navy officer, said in his opening remarks, repeating Bin Laden's deputy's claim.

So he implies that Flight 93 was shot down while the story for Flight 93 was that the passengers attempted to overtake the terrorists?

Homeland Security Director Tom Ridge, who was governor of Pennsylvania on September 11, said "America is grateful" to the 40 victims who "won the first battle" in the war against terrorism.

Interesting. I wonder what actually happened.

Shot down could also mean the people on the plane got control of the weapons and shot the terrorist pilots ???

I think the U of Iowa administration and athletic departments have been trying to cover up this potential shoot-down as well. Them and their darn grassy knoll on Melrose.

The Navy prosecutor was quoting Osama's driver. The way I understood it ..the driver believes the plane was shot down, not that the prosecutor has knowledge that the plane was shot down.

I've always thought this was the case and that America just needed a good story so they went with this (the flight 93 story) since there were actually calls made. Why wouldn't our government shoot down a plane that they don't know where it's going, the people on the plane are screwed no matter what, get it while it's over a remote area in Pennsylvania.

Pretty sure if it was shot down you could tell from the reckage(sp?).

I'm not a conspiracy theorist by any means, and I do not think that the government would create this kind of huge coverup. If they had, I think it would have been completely justifiable, and that was my initial assumption when the fourth plane went down.

I wonder if they are talking about the FOURTH plane that crashed into the pentagon, not Flight 93 that crashed in the middle of a field. The part were it say that the plane would have hit the dome makes me think this.
