Need crash space/apartment in NW KC/Leavenworth area

So, I'm moving back to the US and taking a new job in Fort Leavenworth, but my family is still going to live in our house in Central Iowa.

I plan on commuting back and for during the weekends, and need a crash pad for Monday-Thursday nights. It doesn't need to be much, in fact, I plan on working in the evenings, and I'll shower after my workout in the morning, so all I really need is access to a 1/2 bath, and an electric outlet.

I'm quiet and a non-smoker. I'm accustomed to living in very austere conditions, so a heated shed wouldn't bug me at all.

Any CFers who live in the NW quadrant of KC or the Leavenworth area know or have something like that for cheap, or perhaps as a trade for labor?

You never know who's on here and from where, and it doesn't hurt to ask. Kind of want to keep the commute down to 1/2 hour if I can, but that's negotiable, depending on the deal.

We have relatives in Manhattan. Probably a little far for commute, especially in Kansas.

Good news. I found a basement to crash in for my first week. That will give me a bit of breathing room to actually look around.

What I'm REALLY looking for is a heated shop or garage where I can build airplane parts and sleep. I'd pay actual money for that. As a sideline I produce parts for Piper Cubs, and I owe my wife a new one, since we sold hers to move here, two years ago.
