I am all for citizen involvement in crime enforcement. I think our over-dependence on hired professionals in both police and military forces is fundamentally undemocratic and violates some of the principles held central by our founding fathers.
I like the idea of citizens filming police activities, unobtrusively, but forgive me if I don't trust what I see on film, as it often is incomplete and portrays incomplete information, without good contextual background.
