Olympic baseball and softball
Olympic baseball and softball have some quirky rules.
Where it gets really strange is if a game gets to the eleventh inning. At the start of the 11th, teams will have the option of beginning at any point in the existing batting order and placing the previous two batters on base.

I don't know about beginning at any point in the batting order, but placing the last two batters on base is typical in a tournament setting for AAU, ASA, and Little League.

Well, I wouldn't get too used to those quirky rules, as there won't be Olympic baseball beginning with the 2012 Olympics (at the very least).
