What type of music teen agers listen to is the key
Findings from a study published in Australasian Psychiatry journal:
Teens who listened to pop music were more likely to be struggling with their sexuality.
Those tuning in to rap or heavy metal could be having unprotected sex and drink-driving.
Those who favoured jazz were usually misfits and loners.
Those who favoured dance had higher levels of drug use regardless of socio-economic background.
Those that favoured rap had higher levels of theft, violence, anger, street gang membership, drug use and misogyny.

Interesting, looks like I need to up my drug usage and figure out what I need to do as an Indie music lover, besides grow a beard and stop showering.
Gotta keep up the status quo

That is what I am talking about, holding down jobs, a wife and kids, crazy things like that, that is what country fans do! George Strait should be required listening!

Actually, there was a study in the last several years that showed those who listen to radio stations that play predominantly country music have a significantly higher suicide rate.
Yup, country music makes you want to kill yourself. I know that's how it affects me.

I listen to a lot of metal, but have never drove drunk. They are percentages after all.

"What came first, the music or the misery? People worry about kids playing with guns, or watching violent videos, that some sort of culture of violence will take them over. Nobody worries about kids listening to thousands, literally thousands of songs about heartbreak, rejection, pain, misery and loss. Did I listen to pop music because I was miserable? Or was I miserable because I listened to pop music?"

MTV = "reality" TV shows
HBO = Boxing and Comedy
CNN = "Save the Environment" agit-prop 24/7
HGTV = Infomercials
Food Channel = Staged gameshows
Am I leaving something out?
The funny thing is, when cable was first rolled out, it was sold as being forever and always "commercial free". Crap. There are more commercials on cable than on free TV, now.

What do you mean the food network has staged gameshows? They still have a ton of cooking shows. Are you talking about Bobby Flay's Throwdown and Iron Chef America?
I agree with your other channels.
