4-H'ers?
Since the State Fair started today, it got me thinking - what percentage of CF'ers were in 4-H or FFA? If so - what club?
I was (begrudgingly) in the whole time. Southside Pioneers of Boone County.
Who else?

Re: 4-H'ers?
While I was only in 4-H, both my brothers were huge into FFA. Down in Lamoni, IA.

Re: 4-H'ers?
FFA here. Loved it, still do. Some of my closest friends are people who live all over the country and we met on various trips (WLC, National Convention, camps, contests, etc.).

Re: 4-H'ers?
Grew up in Chicago, didn't really get a chance to do either.

Re: 4-H'ers?
I was pretty heavily involved in both and was fortunate to be in great clubs/chapters. My 4-H club had a pretty dorky name though...Country Cousins.

Re: 4-H'ers?
I showed cattle and made lots of Blue Ribbon cookies in 4-H.

Re: 4-H'ers?
I was a 4-Her in the Monroe Successful Farmers of Butler County. My dad was also on the county fair board so I spent all day every day at the county fair. Never did any livestock but have lots of blue ribbons for cookies and photography.
I was a finalist in the Bill Riley State Fair competition when I was in 6th grade. Had I not thought girls were gross, I would have taken full advantage of spending quite a bit of time around the state fair queen.
Exaggeration is a BILLION times worse than understating. -
Re: 4-H'ers?
I was a member of the West Lincoln Blues. My sister was in the West Lincoln Lassies. THen the whole PC thing came about and we were the Blues and the girls club was the Blue Jays...
Also a FFA State Farmer,1995.

Re: 4-H'ers?
I was in 4-H for about two years, but did virtually nothing other than go to the monthly meetings, where we sat and did virtually nothing. We usually had pizza, so I guess that was cool. -
Re: 4-H'ers?
Boone Progressors baby!! (Booneville that is) The most suburban 4-H crew you would ever come across.
(We were from WDM, Clive, Waukee) to be fair my parents families are from the farm and made me join. Enjoyed it though, got a blue ribbon for photography at the State fair too!

Re: 4-H'ers?
Orthel Jolly Workers up in Hancock county in 4H. Showed hogs and cattle and built a go-cart that came one place from heading to the state fair. Then FFA where we showed hogs and cattle as well. Lots of fun

Re: 4-H'ers?
I was a Palestine Peppy Pusher in Story County. If your club didn't have some bizarre name, I don't think you really got the full 4-H experience.
