I just got a new car (to me anyways). It's a Volkswagen TDI and gets 48mpg and is actually pretty quick... Came from a family that always had diesels, just curious what we all drive.

Can we get vegetable oil added?
i use coal
Heck, yer diesel will burn just about anything.
But just wait until it drops below 40 degrees Fahrenheit, to watch that veggie oil solidify...
Most guys I know who've made the conversion do two things. First, they preheat their oil, and insulate their fuel lines.
Second, they have a separate tank for "starter fuel" for when it's cold.
Otherwise, veggie oil should burn fine in your typical diesel.
