Ocho Cinco - "I can beat Phelps"

This guy needs to shut up and get a life. He's becoming very annoying.

I agree. At first it was funny, now it's like he's just doing things to get attention. I would guess he's trying to get some tv publicity from this; probably wants some promoter to set up a swimming match between he and Phelps. Didn't he run against a racehorse not too long ago?

And people wonder why I would not want him on my team. The guy is a headcase, drama queen and a diva.

Yes, Chad talks a lot, but I don't see anything wrong with this. Running against the horse was for charity. Most people don't know the charitable side of him thanks to the media only reporting when he runs his mouth.

I think it's funny, and smart. It gets people talking about him, but not in a negative way like a lot of other athletes. The guy likes to have a good time, he's the class clown.

He does this to get a rise out of the media and the public...and obviously it works quite well!

I'm not going to say I like his talk. He is definitely an attention whore, but as long as it his mouth getting attention and not criminal behavior, who really cares?

To think football is any less "entertainment" than any thing else on TV is wrong. Yeah, it's a game show, but, at the end of the day, it's merely entertainment. he's just using his venue to the fullest.

Lighten up people he is obviously just joking around. Did you watch the interview? Sometimes sarcasm doesn't come through as well in print.

In that same interview he was talking trash about carson palmer and saying how he could beat him up. He was just saying that because carson was sitting right by him just out of view of the camera and then carson came in and put chad in a choke hold. Now someone can write an article about how chad threatened carson and carson assaulted him. What is being said has been taken way out of context.

This is HILARIOUS! He does talk a lot of crap talking, but this is just great! Lighten up!

My least favorite player in the NFL. Not to mention he is so over-rated. He has had one great year and everything else has been average.
