I couldn't open the linked article at work. Nevertheless I came across this article yesterday. From what I remember of the article, I don't blame the kid. It sounds like he was bored in school. He is being home schooled and is scoring well scholastically on his tests. More power to him.

There are all kinds of possibilities connected with this story. For example, who is to say the home schooling the kid is receiving isn't on par on better with what he received through the school system. I'm just saying without knowing additional details I'm not ready to condemn the kid.

Well, I don't want to go there as I have my own opinions about that, but HE DROPPED OUT TO PLAY GUITAR HERO, that's pretty much all that needs to be said.
