The horror of a kid's produce stand

An eleven year old and a three year old were operating a small produce stand to make a little money in Clayton California.

The mayor of Clayton has gotten involved saying that the stand must be shut down to protect public safety and to enforce zoning.

To quote the mayor, "They may start out with a little card-table and selling a couple of things, but then who is to say what else they have. Is all the produce made there, do they make it themselves? Are they going to have eggs and chickens for sale next"

Seriously, why are they going after these girls for selling HEALTHY food ?

I could see this reaction if they were one of those spawns of satan that sell food load with Transfats but healthy/good for you, produce ?

I have never understood how people who run for public office always lose all sense of logic.

Who said they had it to start with? Could be that a lack of reasonable logic is a first qualification to run for public office. It does attract a whole lot of people that all think the same way.
