It's baaaack!

We touched down in DSM International at 9:05 local on Monday, and since then have been completely swamped with putting our lives back together here.

Tenants ended up trashing the house, shipping company ended up being crooks, and jet-lag is challenging me and my lovely bride. (Note to self; she just looked over my shoulder at this message, and from her reaction, I think I might be getting lucky, tonight.

)

Note to anyone out there who are renters: "No pets" doesn't mean you let the dog poop on the carpet and you just step around it for 2 years without cleaning it up. And when you rent a charming little 1400 square foot home as a single family dwelling, that doesn't mean you sublet to 5 other families. We are still getting change of address cards from the other miscreants.

Otherwise, they somehow managed not to break in to my pride and joy, my heated and air-conditioned shop. It's all there and just like I left it.

And now, on to my new job on Monday.

BTW - I scored an awesome '95 Buick LeSabre with 150,000 miles on it that is rust free for under a grand. That will be my "good" car.

Let me know if you need me to pick you up... JK - the two best cars I've owned were Olds 88's with more than 100K miles on them.

Actually we did. Three sets of someones, but you'd be surprised what bad renters can get away with.

It's all good, though, we were wanting to remodel anyway...

Between remodelling the house and the thieves who are moving my stuff, I won't have money for football tickets for quite awhile, now.

It's not that they stole anything; it's just they are now asking for 3 times the initial estimate and are holding our stuff until we pay.
