It was supposed to be the death and resurrection of Superman. In last month's Wizard magazine he was quoted saying that he'd never touch the superhero movie after seeing Iron Man and The Dark Knight. He's also seen the Watchmen and said that it raises the bar even higher. It stays pretty true to the book.

Anyway, he submitted this to WB. They sent it back w/ suggestions and rewrites. He told them to forget it. I think this is the one.

You have to type "s-c-r-i-p-t" manually to replace the asterisks. The second one is plural.

I'll start with Bale. He lost like 50 lbs for the machinist and then had like 1 month to put the wait back on for BB. Empire of the Sun rocks as well as American Psycho and don't forget Equilibrium was a pretty cool film as well. A little different but an interesting one. As far as Routh goes, everything I hear about him isn't good. I've heard from multiple people that he's not a very nice good. Not from personal knowledge, but just what I've heard. Not surprised that they would replace him.

As far as the movie goes, they had some of the coolest scenes I've ever seen but the movie failed in the end. The Plane scene when he returns is awesome and I still get chills with the scene of him overlooking the earth in space and him listening to all the sounds. Nothing so short and quick can encompass the powers that he has.

Routh is a nice kid.. I don't happen to think he's star material, but he is a nice kid.. I think one major reason he's getting replaced is because his latest movie role he chose is to play the boyfriend of a gay porn star.. Superman is an icon and they're not going to allow superman to take roles like that.. you're superman everywhere you go once you take that role.. he happens to be very left politically and that gets him in trouble with thinking this gay porn role would be a good idea.

Really? I thought that lifestyle pretty much summed up Superman.

Anyway, this news sucks. BJ is a great guy and at least around people he knows, very down to earth. I guess I cant speak to dealing with him professionally. I actually only watched because he was in it and probably wont if he isnt. Hopefully he finds some other roles and continues to make a career out of acting.
