Myself, I buy the best value in used cars; and right now, that is the mid '90s Buicks. Frankly, the Japanese cars go for an premium that is not completely deserved, imo, or I'd like one of those.

As long as companies like Ford can turn out complete pieces of garbage like the 2000 Focus, the 1990s Escorts, etc., they get none of my money, car-wise. Though I would like one of their 300cid straight six F150s, or a 2.4 L Ranger....
You don't know heaven until you drive a Mustang, although the new Camaro might win me over. Hybrids, shmybrids, If my tongue doesn't go down my throat when I hit the gas, what is the point of living?

A mustang is more like purgatory. A vette is closer to being heaven.

I've owned 5 Mustangs throughout my driving life. A '64 1/2 w/the early hipo, a '65 hipo, a stock '66, a '67 convertible, and a '69 notchback. I still have the '67 convertible, and it has just a hair over 30,000 miles, actual on the odometer.

I like me a little Mustang action....

I just like my Ridgeline because it rides nice :)

My wife likes all the storage.

As a guy your car buying priorities should be hp, handling, and looks. In that order. The car should be red. Feel free to use other criteria for your wife's car.

It will probably be my next vehicle. We have a 2000 CRV that we love. The civic I have will be the one we will trade in for the Ridgeline.

The fastest car I ever owned wasn't a Mustang, though. A buddy and me threw in $400 each to buy an 80,000 mile '68 Belvedere four door back in the day. It was quite literally owned by a little old lady, but it was no cream-puff. She was blind as a bat, and wrecked it often, so it had like three different colored doors, was rusty in the rear quarter panels, and had two different kinds of mag wheels on the front and hubcaps over steel '50s on the back.

But under the hood was an Advanced Wedge Dual Quad Cross Ram 440 Police Intercepter engine, and we used to beat punks in Camaros in races like the Hammer of God. They'd laugh at our shabby car, but me and my buddy would blow doors off like nobodies' business. I think the dude still has it, sitting in his barn, waiting to take on some rice-burner with delusions of grandeur.....
