If that's all people use as their barometers for right and wrong these days, we are in some serious trouble. | | |

No, I'm not... IF the guy did something wrong (which I don't think he did) then he should be punished.
I claim that most people wouldn't care if there wasn't a picture to prove it.

I haven't heard much defending going on as far as the guy here is concerned, nor for LE for that matter.
(This) guy probably FULLY deserved to be run out on a rail.
The comment I hear pretty consistently is in regard to the (perceived or real) disparate treatment of
various stories and individuals given by the DMRAG
jmHo, but it's gotten to the point where some of these papers are so pathetic, that not TOO many folks
even try to dispute that.
peace.

Furthermore, the son pictured in the photo was picked for his second OWI later that night in Dickinson County. Now, his son may have abstained from drinking on the boat like his father says, but I highly doubt it given the track records of both individuals. Good riddance. i

The Red Star is a scum machine that aids and abets EIU while harping on non-news everywhere else.
That's probably it.

I guess I'm of the opinion that the head boss shouldn't be getting drunk with the folks he is responsible for. Especially when he is 30 years (or more) their senior. No, I don't think so. As long as everyone there was of legal drinking age, who cares. My dad hung out with my friends and I on more than one occasion. In fact, he still tailgates with us. And since I don't get back to every game anymore, My mother and him still meet up with my old college buddies that do make it to every game and they tailgate with them. I don't know the inside story to this, but, seriously, if everyone there is of age, there is nothing wrong with what he's doing. Nothing wrong at all. My Goodness, how conservative is Iowa now? When did it become wrong to throw back a couple of beers with your dad?

Not knowing anything about this story other than what's been posted here, I believe this is closest to the truth.
They didn't like him and this was their reason to get rid of him. If he'd been a great president otherwise, a suspension or other discipline might have been tried first.

Dean Wormer was wrong. Fat, drunk and stupid was a great way to go through college (all five years of it).

How does this compare to professors drinking with their students? I know several profs who have socialized with students and alcohol was present.
Sometimes I think there are people in society who like to see others in proment positions fall because it makes them feel better.
We applaud success, but what we root for is failure.

I would not want somebody to have to resign over something like this. If you owned a company that was run by this guy who obviously is the public representative of your company, how happy would you be when these pictures come out. Ya, he can do what he wants on his own time, but with the profile of the position he has with the college, he should have more brains then to be doing what he was doing out in public.
The guy could be the father of any kid that was on the boat and yet he was trying to act like one of them?????????? You know what happens when you try to be your kids best friend instead of their parent???? Originally Posted by leg4cy The guy was a joke in every sense of the word. His reputation in the Ft. Crap like this happens..........................
And the fact that he is being stuck up for on this thread baffles me as well.........
