Isnt there other chains that are similar to BB that can come to DSM? BB is ok but they are the only game in town and they act like it. They need someone to push them a bit. Most of my experences with BB have not been great. It doesnt help the 16 yo waiting on me treats me like I dont know what is going on.

I would never buy an HD TV or a computer from Best Buy. They kill you with add on's-I'm just not impressed with their sales techniques. Give me Traviss for TV's and either Apple or internet for computers.

definitely gotta go with amazon for the TV. i went with them. free delivery, free setup. cheaper prices, and you dont pay tax. Go to best buy to research the tv's that you like on amazon to see the picture in person, and then order online.
Best Buys customer service sucks too. I learned that one the hard way and will never buy anything too major from them again. I bought a computer and less then a month later the monitor fried. I took it in to have them replace it, but NO, they have to send it in and it can take up to a month for me to get it back so the computer I bought is worthless in that time. I said screw you and looked around until I found another retailer who handled that brand and switched it out for me after much phone time with the computer maker.

Gotta agree. My parent's bought an HDTV from BB during the pre super bowl sale and if you just say no to the add ons (kinda like a car dealership) you are fine. Plus they had a 90 day price match which they honored without any issues.
I'm apparently the only one who has had good fortune with Best Buy because I've never had an issue with taking my laptop in there for maintenance or repairs.
