Big loud bark and without our chain link fence and the log chains around their necks, I am sure we would of been attacked.
So long story short, attacked no, threatened quite often.

I'm not one of those ban certain dog people. However, those that believe pit bulls do not posses a significant risk are quire naive - and are the most dangerous kind of dog owners.

Correct me if I'm wrong...
If a dog walks onto a person's property and that person feels threatened by that dog - he/she has the right to protect themselves from an animal that is trespassing on their property.

I am not referring to legal consequences, All actions have consequences.

I, for example, have a boiling hatred of squirrels. The stack of squirrel carcasses in my backyard is astonishing.

They are by far the most vicious dogs I have personally met. QFT.
I know I always fear for my frank and beans whenever I'm around them, if you know what I mean... Chuck Lidell: I paint my toenails with pink and black polish. Problem is, I get more paint on my toes and on the carpet than on my nails. Any advice? Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this. -

Now this went from a touchy discussion to one that totally crossed the line.
Completely ridiculous.

Re: Pit Bulls
When you have a dog that has been bred for aggressive traits for the last few hundred years, bad things are going to happen. It's in their genes, so no one should be surprised to see it happen. Pit bulls can be very sweet dogs, but at some point they will display their aggressive tendencies and genes/history. -

This is simply not true. Pit bulls when raised by a loving family are great pets for their entire life.
