To put everyone at ease, I learned a little something from when my roommate had a pit bull. The thing that they fear most in this world... empty beer boxes. Pit bulls are scared ****less of empty beer boxes. When you know you may come in contact with a pit bull, just be packing an empty case of beer and you will have no worries.

I had a very scary moment last year when I walked through my side gate with my young daughter to find a massive pitbull standing just on the other side. Turns out it was the sweetest dog in the world, but you can't convince me that it wouldn't turn given the right stimuli. My kids will most definitely be taught to stay away from pitbulls, it's just not worth the risk.
I know how to end this debate. I will walk around for a week with a steak hanging from my neck. I will report back then. If no pitbulls eat me, then we know they are safe.
Personally, I view aggressive action by ANY dog, even on the owner's property, as justification for shooting it down, on the spot.
Slob pet owners tick me off. My wife is deathly afraid of dogs, and if your dog runs up to the fence and barks/growls at her, I think I should be able to shoot it. Period.
Dog owners, keep your darned dogs to yourself. That means away from the public they can menace.

Wow. I think your crazy here. For many breeds of dog, it is their natural instinct to growl/bark at stange smelling people coming near the turf of them and their family. Most of those dogs be licking you in seconds if you approach them non-aggressively and let them smell you.Quote:

Actually, I didn't mean it to attack the people who don't like pitbulls. I am one who thinks many people are not responsible with dogs and that in general pitbulls can be dangerous. The Athens thing probably wasn't the best solution, but I am all for people first.Quote:
