Any Open Wireless Network At Jack Trice?

I was just wondering if a guy brought his laptop to tailgate if he could find a wireless network to check out the volleyball results and other things. I haven't tried in years, but there was none available the last time I brought a computer with me.

Buy an iPhone, LG Dare, or whatever your network's internet phone is, get the unlimited data package, and surf that way at games...

I wouldn't count on the iPhone. Thursday's game, my husband got an email from someone he works with who needed help. He tried for a half hour to get the email downloaded onto his phone before he just gave up and called the guy. Not the best service in that area.

Also had issues connecting with my phone trying to get updated scores. I think the service was ok, just a flooded network.

Maybe, but I'm also thinking bringing a several hundred to several thousand dollar laptop into an environment with thousands of screaming and jumping fans isn't exactly the world's greatest idea. Plus, several of those thousands of fans are potentially students or other shady figures that are looking for new equipment and/or beer money...

My laptop costs less than an Iphone. We're bringing one this week to test out Slingbox on my home Directv DVR.

There are many items of value in most people's tailgate supplies. So what's the big deal with adding a laptop to the list? I've brought it before, but not to access the Internet. I wasn't planning to bring it inside the stadium.

My company supplies my phone and they dictate the provider, type of phone and services that I get.

That is what I would do as well, but as others have stated cell service isn't the greatest on game days with all the people around using phones
