Quartz infrared heaters / Consumer Reports?
They usually go by EdenPure or comfort zone brands. Does anyone have any good info about them? I think consumer reports has rated space heaters and may have included one of these as well(if anyones a member). I have only found some random Internet reports and they are mixed. If they do what they claim they would be worth the 400+ bucks, if not than its no better then a 50 dollar walmart oil heater. With young kids I could use another source of heat to avoid heating the entire house day and night. Any info would be appreciated!

Looks like I've stumbled onto a vast area of ignorance... I wasn't sure it could be done on this board, usually there is some great info or experience to draw on. Maybe todays the day
