NBC OTA HD signal
anyone else been having trouble with a consistent signal in the DSM coverage area?
signal is always listed at 100% while partially breaking up.
somethings the Dish receiver says it lost the signal, even when the millisecond before it was at 100%.
all programming... all times of day.
Not noticing this AT ALL on any other OTA HD channel from DSM.

Re: NBC OTA HD signal
I'm noticing the same thing in HD through my Mediacom connection and it is driving me nuts. I first noticed it watching the office and now it's ******* me off for football. Must be on NBC's side of things if your getting the same problem through dish as what I'm getting through Mediacmo

Seems like the local HD signals down there always have these problems and we have nothing like that here. Even when we visit my in-laws in CR the HD through Mediacom is poor, they can't even get the signal to show a pic half the time through the cable box. I hope it helps once DTV gets the DSM area locals.

Re: NBC OTA HD signal
WHO has known about the problem since last Friday, the 19th.
From another board: We discovered the problem on Friday and did quite a bit of trouble shooting. Our belief right now is that we have a problem with the receiver on the link between the studio and the transmitter site. We have a spare unit coming from the factory and will know as soon as it gets here. The other possibility is that we are getting interference on that microwave link from another source. That is going to be a bit more difficult to find and we are also working on that. If you would like to post this on the site you may." -

Yeah... I'm ready to drive down to ch-13 and yell at anyone who happens to be there.
This is ridiculous. I did find a link to complain: WHO-DT Viewer Report
Everyone... tell them they have issues.

Re: NBC OTA HD signal
OTA in Des Moines was driving me crazy on Saturday. I figured it was the local tower. I guess that might not be it.

Re: NBC OTA HD signal
Funny, I was just coming here to post the EXACT same thing about WHO DT on Mediacom. I first noticed it on Thursday during The Office as well, and it ****** me off royally. I wasn't sure if it was maybe my DVR because I was watching it about an hour delayed. I just checked the tv in my bedroom, which I don't have a cable box for but it can get all the locals in HD OTA just using the cable as an antenna, and it's experiencing the same problems. As Thunderdave said, it sounds like it's definitely a problem with WHO, hopefully they can get it fixed.

Re: NBC OTA HD signal
I started noticing it last Monday during Heroes, in the Heroes thread there was some discussion about it too. I can't believe its almost been a week and they haven't figured it out, unacceptable.

Everyone... tell them they have issues. Done. Obviously they know they have a problem, per the avs forum. But since we have no way of demanding a partial refund for OTA service we might as well hassle them as much as possible to encourage their quick resolution.
I should email soundoff too and see if Keith and Andy can fix it. Maybe they can send Shawn Terrel up to the roof in a tinfoil suit to fix the broadcast antenna. -

I just thought it was these POS HR21's from directv.

Re: NBC OTA HD signal
I figured it was an issue with Mediacom. Glad to hear that isn't the case.....but want to strangle someone at WHO.

Re: NBC OTA HD signal
I switched over to the SD signal, and its just as choppy!! WTH is going on? The audio isn't nearly as bad on the SD channel but the picture is still jittery.

Good thing I have no reason to watch WHO
