    He lives in Frisco, Tx (just north of Dallas). He really only fishes at spring training (Indian River, FL...flats), but has this thing coming up. I guess they are teamed with a driver and a pro fisherman and do some combo of both. The tournament is near Dallas so I am assuming bass.

    Is there a furniture store he likes in the area? If he has an empty house, maybe helping to find something for his place would be best. Find out what he needs or give him a gift certificate.
