Re: Should negative rep be reinstated?
I would bring negative rep back, but wouldn't allow it to be used in the political forum.

Re: Should negative rep be reinstated?
I think neg rep should be brought back.
Does it really hurt anyones feelings when they get negative rep? If message board "rep" does.. then wow.

Re: Should negative rep be reinstated?
My take-
I'd love to see negative rep come back. That being said, there should at the very least be an unwritten rule that posts in the cave do not receive negative rep - you venture into there at your own risk knowing full well you're going to run into posts that smack you in the face and **** you off - and half the fun of it is responding with a post that you know is going to **** the next person off. No need to negrep those kids of opinions in an environment such as that.
Chuck Lidell: I paint my toenails with pink and black polish. Problem is, I get more paint on my toes and on the carpet than on my nails. Any advice? Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this. -

you will be surprised... yes it does hurt some of the members feelings. They take it too personal.

Jeremy my boy... I hate to say this but I agree with you...Having had red boxes and I really could care less because even at my age with all my gray hair...well I'm still a FREE SPIRIT!!
I agree and I may even give you another donation if though you are the proverbial right-winger!!! -
Re: Should negative rep be reinstated?
I would ask for it back, if it wasn't for the idea of getting flooded with neg rep. -
Re: Should negative rep be reinstated?
I'm still think no rep at all is the best.

Re: Should negative rep be reinstated?
Negative reps are pretty juvinile in my opinion. When I was posting info that no one else had about Iowa, I would have been negative reps to death. Same with 33 on Bates. Result would have been less information available to those reading the board. If that's what everyone wants, that's what they will get.

Completely agree especially if you are outside the "Cyclone Fanatic" circle.
Hey! It's all ball bearings nowadays. -
Re: Should negative rep be reinstated?
Shouldn't this thread really be entitled, "Should the nebraska rep be reinstated?" After all, they are red boxes, and it's Thursday of Nebraska week, and this is all anyone can talk about this morning. -
Re: Should negative rep be reinstated?
No neg rep. It's all fine and dandy saying there should be "unwritten rules" about how or where to use it---but this is a message board. If it's unwritten it won't be followed. Why do you feel you need to neg rep someone? If you don't like their post, debate it with them. Or ignore it. Saying you want to neg rep someone because of a ridiculous or disrespectful post.....just makes me shake my head. Why do you have to pass judgment like that? Does it really make you feel like you accomplished something? I, for one, would stop coming here if neg rep came back. It's a message board, not a forum for my peers to judge me and brand me with a Scarlet Letter of neg rep if they so choose.
