    DLP bulbs

Anyone ever had to order a new bulb for their TV? My Sony KDS-60A2000 TV is dead and is flashing the new bulb message. Anyone have anyplace online they have ordered from?

    Thanks.

    Re: DLP bulbs

I had to have the bulb on my Mitsubishi replaced. I called a TV repair shop. They replaced the bulb, reset the convergence (whatever that is), and made other adjustments. It didn't cost much, less than $100, and the picture clarity was dramatically improved.

Does that indicate a bigger problem with your set?

The bulbs are pretty sensitive. May have just gotten jarred at some point.

Could be. I am going to have to call Traviss tomorrow and get them to take a look. The damn thing is only 18 months old. I don't want to have to replace it with like a 60" lcd or anything, that would be just terrible.

$100 just to have them come out and look at it. Found that out the hard way.
