They say they are finally going to release Chinese Democracy.
I guess they were just waiting for the right time???

Re: Guns N Roses
They say this AT LEAST twice year. It's never going to happen until Axl dies, and someone just says to hell with it and puts it out there.

Re: Guns N Roses
I could care less, but I wouldn't believe it until it's on the shelves.
It's Bushbama!

I have read that Chinese Democracy is not going to sound like your Guns & Roses of old. It is going to sound more like Nine Inch Nails than anything.

That stinks, I would be more interested if it sounded like the band of my youth. Never really got into NIN, loved GNR though.

I have trouble believing this version of GnR could be anything like the band that exploded on the national music scene 21 years ago. How could it without Slash and Izzy Stradlin?

How could it without Slash and Izzy Stradlin? Axl can write some great songs, but these two made GNR what it was. Dirty, sleazy, and a punch to the balls. GNR now is really just Axl with a bunch of gimps...

Re: Guns N Roses
Wasn't this supposed to be a WalMart exclusive?
That pretty much sums up how much it'll suck.

Re: Guns N Roses
This will suck, if it didn't, it would have been released years ago.
Guns and Roses was the biggest thing to me in the world in my youth. I had to buy Appetite for Destruction twice on cassette tape because I wore out the first one. I have of course all of the stuff on CD now.
As others have stated, without Slash, Izzy, and please don't forget Duff it ain't GnR. I met Duff and Matt Sorem backstage at a Guns show in Omaha in around 1993. Amazing time, never forget it.

Here is the a stream of the song: Guns N Roses - Chinese Democracy On Demand - Q104.3 - New York's Classic Rock
My reaction is "Mehh" I was hoping for more.

I didn't mean to discount Duff's contribution to the band, I just feel that Izzy and Slash were the 2 musicians that were most important to the sound of the original GnR. You take Appetite and put in another bass player and you would have still gotten a solid album. Take away Slash or Izzy and it wouldn't be the same.

Re: Guns N Roses
i'm actually somewhat pumped for this. It is official now by the way - it is coming out on 11/25 as a Best Buy exclusive. You can hear the first single at www.gunsnroses.com
Would love to see this be successful, as I fondly remember my youthful days as a huge GN'R fan.

Re: Guns N Roses
One of the songs from the album made a movie soundtrack. The movie with Crowe and Dicaprio
