I'm really glad I'm not a print journalist right now.

With the proliferation of blogs and the internet the business is only going to get tougher. Frankly there are so many ways to get news papers are almost becoming obsolete. I'm 27 - does anybody my age or younger on this website get a daily paper? I bet the percentage is incredibly low.

I had one of my photos printed in the paper last week, and I still didn't go buy the thing. Now, I did mean to - but forgot.

I can't remember the last time I picked up a newspaper other than when I was in a waiting room someplace. Even then, there is usually a magazine I'll grab over the DMR.

If the print edition wasn't so crappy, I wouldn't hesistate twice about subscribing to it, of course though too, i'm 35 and would much rather perfer the actual newspaper over the internet edition.

A couple of weeks ago, I bought the Sunday Omaha paper and I thought to myself, so this is what a real newspaper looks like.

Everyone knows it's the internet to blame.... wait, no, it's the economy... no, wait...

    Maybe it's incompetence, instead....

The only time I get a paper is when I buy enough gas at Kum and Go to get it FREE.

I hope the daily newspaper never goes away. It's long been a part of my morning routine - and yes, I'm old. Old enough that I was a newspaper carrier when I was a kid.

But nothing like a hot cup of coffee and the newspaper to read to get my old bones ready to begin the day.

My question is all these newpapers that endorse candidates yet at the same time these newpapers can't even stay in business and or have to cut 10% of there workforce.

Maybe they should quit endorsing there CEOs.

I canceled and they asked why, I told them I was sick of hearing their opinion and bias.

They didn't know what to say. I said goodbye.

I couldn't agree with you more. Get rid of the lazy and biased editorialists and keep investigative reporters who don't even have a desk in the office. Get rid of the specialists such as headline writers and commentators. Keep the puzzles and comics which provide sufficient bias and now you have an efficient newspaper.

That's because their customer service call center is in Tulsa, OK.
