Marshalltown

I'm in Marshalltown for work today. Are there any good sports stores that carry ISU gear in town. I went to the mall over lunch. Sports Page didn't have hardly anything.

No

Ask a deeply religious Christian if he’d rather live next to a bearded Muslim that may or may not be plotting a terror attack, or an atheist that may or may not show him how to set up a wireless network in his house. On the scale of prejudice, atheists don’t seem so bad lately.

Hey, only Marshalltownians are allowed to make fun of M'town. You're correct, of course. But... we did have the state baseball tournament for a long time. And Marshalltown Trowel, the best Maid-rites, the best Taco Johns, Lennox. Okay, that's it.

Re: Marshalltown

I only go there a lot because both my parents grew up there. They told me 30 years ago it was a pretty good town, but now it's gone way down.

There was a strawberry patch store in the mall.

It was great town 15 years ago, downhill since then.

They've got a few good places to eat. There's a great Chinese Buffet downtown. Jax Steakhouse is great as well.

Chinese Buffet is closed now.

Lots of places in town to get an enchilada dinner though.

The last 15 years have not been kind to Marshalltown...

I saw it was closed this summer, guess they reopened(?)

If I am wrong, I am sorry for the confusion.
