As is, I think he set a great tone, without detracting from Obama's accomplishments, or taking away from his own and those of his supporters. It was a tremendously classy farewell to his campaign.

That was my though exactly. It was the best speech that I had heard him deliver.

Dang, I hadn't thought of that...

On a side note, did anyone hear him say that he was going to use the attorney general to mandate a playoff system in college football!

I believe the term you're looking for is cellulosic. Cellulose is one of the main parts of the cell wall in plants (along with lignin), which is made up of glucose units (they are connected differently then what one finds in starch). I've seen several different approaches to make ethanol from cellulose, but the best one I've seen involves gasifying the cellulose and then having genetically modified bacteria going after it.

As far as I know, both candidates support cellulosic ethanol.

As far as biodiesel goes, the pus behind that is to utilize waste material (like grease from friers) do a quick chemical reaction that will make it more like diesel and use it. It should have largely the same chemical energy as diesel, as C-H bonds are C-H bonds, no matter the source.
