Directv HD locals?

I thought it was supposed to happen this weekend?

I guess I read it wrong. It said November 08 not November 8th.

One of the great d-teases of all time.

Dish and Direct must get some kind of jollies from promising locals in HD 3 or 4 times a year, but never end up delivering.

Channel 5 barely qualifies as a tv channel for Dish as it is now.

Another reason yesterday sucked. The DTV tease.

As dmclone said in his second post, DirecTV's website says November 08, meaning 2008--not the 8th of November.

For what it's worth, they've been adding HD locals to a ton of markets and have followed through on almost every single announcement over the past few months. Unless we're unlucky, we should see HD locals by the end of the month.

I read the 18th a few weeks ago... Of course I have great signal by antenna, so I really could care less. I just diplex it into all my tv's, no 3rd cable needed.

I called Direct TV yesterday for a billing question and asked them about Local HD and they had no time table for it to be turned on. It could still be awhile.
